This week we've reached a milestone no one at Piriform imagined we'd reach. That is we've had our 500 millionth download of CCleaner!

Created just over 6 years ago, CCleaner quickly became and still is the standard for computer cleaning and optimization. We're supremely grateful for the loyalty of our users, and aim to continue to create great products well into the future. :)

Whether you're heading back to school this September, have fond memories of three-ring binders and fresh lined paper, or would rather forget about your school experiences, we've been busy working on CCleaner's features. This is a big update because we've added a lot of new cleaning abilities, supported software, and user interface improvements.

• Added support for SRWare Iron browser via Google Chrome rule.

• Added application support for Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5,
  Adobe ImageReady CS, Nero Burning ROM 10, Google Calendar Sync
  and Google Talk.
• Improved application support for Adobe Photoshop CS3, Google Earth, Adobe Flash Player.
• Added support to search Uninstall Tool items by Publisher.
• Improved Custom Files and Folders accuracy to avoid duplicate reporting.
• Improved Include/Exclude Options.
• Improved Startup Tool functionality.
• Improved Registry detection algorithm for Missing Shared Dlls.
• Improved exception handling when cleaning W7 jumplist.
• Updated URL references to use piriform.com.
• Minor GUI tweaks and usability improvements.

In this release, we've added a 64-bit exe for those of you on the cutting edge and also added two new ways to get your information out of Speccy's reports.

This new release has less in it than normal updates, as we've been working hard to get Defraggler Version 2 ready for release. We'll update you all with more information as soon as it's ready. :)
