Saving system information in XML

You can export information about your system in XML format. XML is similar to HTML, but is more structured.

The XML hierarchy of Speccy is as follows:

• <mainsection>
  • <data>
• <section>
  • <data>
• ...and other sections representing subsections as necessary.

To save the system information in XML:

1. In Speccy, click File and then click Save as XML.
2. In the Save As dialog box, specify a location and file name. By default, Speccy uses the computer name and the .XML extension. Click OK.

You can view the resulting XML file in any XML viewer, as well as Internet Explorer.

You can also export the information to plain text, or to the Web. As well, you can print it.
