Running Recuva in debug mode

If you need to generate a log of Recuva's environment and activities for troubleshooting purposes, you can run the software in debug mode.

To run Recuva in debug mode:

1. From the Windows desktop, click Start and then click Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type <path to Recuva> /debug. Typically, this will be:
   C:\Program Files\Recuva\Recuva.exe /debug
3. Click OK. Recuva starts in debug mode. You will see the word [debug] next to the version number at the top of the Recuva window.
4. Once you have finished using Recuva and have quit the program, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the installation path (the same path you typed in Step 2). The log file will be in this folder in the format Recuva_log[date].txt.
